MacOSX Support Engineer

Role Description

Within the cluster Workplace and unified Communications we provide a global end-to-end operation of workplace services (hardware and software at the workplace, MyCom, all phones, collaboration tools, SharePoint) and customer-oriented continuous innovation.  This includes vendor/supplier/outsourcing management (e.g. DXC, BT) as well as strategic development.
The Commerzbank MacOSX system is designed as a zero-touch system. All requirements are implemented centrally.
The end user is normal user (standard rights) All configurations are made without user interaction. Test and production must be considered separately. The system is fully managed and configured as a ZTB domain client.
User group are developer, tester, designer, device types currently used: MacMini and Macbooks.

Essential Job Functions

Monitoring, documentation and reporting on Support Tasks

Documentation (Compliance, security)

Maintaining  Filewave, Deploystudio, Apple Configurator, Apple DEP, Apple VPP, Cososys EPP

Operation and provision of Commerzbank MacOSX Client terminals

Deploy operating system images and updates Mac OSX:

  • Packaging and distribution of applications
  • Usability settings
  • Configuration management
  • End user support – 2nd / 3rd level
  • End user communication & handouts
  • Process design/automation
  • Develop workarounds
  • Analysis and correction of errors
  • Scripting / bash/ Automator

Configuration and operation of security & patch management – extensive know-how required

  • Compliance with and implementation of Commerzbank security specifications, as well as implementation of “best practice” security settings
  • Implement/maintain security settings for applications
  • Implement/maintain the security settings for the OS
  • OSX profiles for configurations
  • Firewall
  • Root CA & Certificate Mgmt

Educational Qualifications and Experience

Education: University,  Technical College or comparable professional experience

Role Specific Experience: 2+ years of experience

Mac OSX in the enterprise environment required – extensive know-how required, small team, self-organized

Security Components as: OSX Security, System configuration, Standard Applications & configuration, Device Control (USB; Ports), SEP (Symantec), Encryption (HDD), Access Control  (ACL), NAC

Required Skills/Abilities

good command  of English (written and spoken) minimum B1/B2 preferred

customer / service oriented manner

High ability to work under pressure even at difficult conditions

Good team player with high ability to work in cross-locational and international teams Excellent collaboration and communication skills

High flexibility and adaptability to fast changing environment

Fluent in English
